ACCESSIBILITY

Good experiences should work for more people.

Forest Konsept is committed to making our website accessible and usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability, technology or how they choose to access the web. Accessibility isn't something we see as a box to tick. It is part of creating clear, thoughtful and inclusive experiences.

What we're doing

We aim to follow recognised good practice for digital accessibility and use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our reference point.

As we develop and maintain this website, we consider things including:

  • clear page structure and meaningful headings;

  • readable typography and colour contrast;

  • descriptive links and navigation;

  • alternative text for meaningful images;

  • keyboard accessibility;

  • appropriately labelled forms;

  • responsive layouts across different screen sizes; and

  • presenting important information in ways that do not rely solely on colour, imagery or visual presentation.

WCAG 2.2 is the current standard referenced by UK government accessibility guidance, while W3C recommends stating the accessibility standard a website is working toward.

Where we are

The Forest Konsept website has been designed with accessibility in mind, but it has not yet undergone a formal independent accessibility audit.

We are continuing to review the site and improve areas where we identify barriers.

Some of the website uses distinctive typography, imagery and visual compositions as part of the Forest Konsept identity. Where important information appears visually, our aim is to ensure that the underlying information is also available in an accessible form.

We don't want to claim perfection where we haven't tested for it.

We do want to keep improving.

If something isn't working for you

If you have difficulty accessing any part of this website, encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information provided in a different format, please tell us.

We'll do our best to understand the problem and provide a reasonable alternative where we can.

When contacting us, it helps if you tell us which page you were using and what difficulty you experienced.

You can contact us at hello@forestkonsept.co.uk

Improving the experience

Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-off exercise.

As Forest Konsept and this website develop, we'll continue reviewing our content, design and functionality and make improvements where they're needed.

We also welcome feedback from the people actually using the site. If you've found something we could make clearer or easier to use, we'd genuinely like to know.
